Lynda Donaldson is set to journey to Antarctica with 100 women in STEMM, aiming to raise awareness and funds for climate action.
Lynda was chosen for the Homeward Bound programme last year and is working hard to raise £10,000 for this incredible two-and-a-half-week journey. She wants to shine a light on this initiative, which connects women in science to tackle the world’s biggest challenges.
The programme, launched in 2014, aims to boost female leadership in STEMM and promote sustainability while addressing climate change. Lynda shared that there’s a year-long leadership training involved, focusing on collaboration and creating a positive legacy for future generations.
She’s been connecting with other participants and faculty online, finding inspiration in their stories and insights about leadership and environmental action. If you want to support Lynda’s mission, you can check out her fundraiser at https://chuffed.org/project/lynda-to-antarctica.
