Alfie Powell, 31, was sentenced for theft and previous crimes involving a child
The pair stole £10,000 worth of goods, including a Rolex watch. The girl’s mother said the incident deeply affected her daughter. She now struggles to sleep alone and often wakes up crying.
The mother expressed relief at Powell’s sentencing, fearing he might escape punishment. She described the experience as something you see on TV, not something that happens to you.
Powell was sentenced again on January 20 at Bromley Magistrates’ Court. He pleaded guilty to stealing car parts from a vehicle in Thamesmead.
When arrested, he also had cannabis in his possession. The magistrates noted his past crimes and sentenced him to 24 weeks in prison. He was also ordered to pay £300 in compensation.
