Colchester: A tragic accident occurred on Saturday morning. Makyle Bayley, 22, was one of four people who died when their car hit a building on Magdalen Street.

Along with Makyle, three other students were in the car. They were 24-year-old TJ Hibbert, 21-year-old Eva Darold-Tchikaya, and 22-year-old Daljang Wol.

His family shared a touching tribute. They described Makyle as a passionate basketball player and a beloved son and brother.

They said he was full of life and promise. Makyle was in his final year studying Sports Science at Essex University.

He loved basketball and played for the Essex Rebels, his university team. He also coached youth players and was the first ambassador for the YES charity.

His family emphasized that he was more than an athlete. They remembered his kindness and the joy he brought to everyone around him.

They expressed their heartbreak over his loss. They said their lives would never be the same without him, but his spirit would always remain in their hearts.

Specialist officers are supporting the families affected by the crash. Police are still investigating the incident and believe no other vehicles were involved.
