Get ready for a month full of fun and learning about LGBTQ+ history with events happening all over the district
The lineup includes exhibitions and even a ramble. It’s all organized by Bradford Council, the University of Bradford, Out Together, and Equity Partnership, with many events being free.
This year’s theme is all about activism and social change, highlighting five historical figures: Octavia Hill, Ivor Cummings, Annie Kenney, Charlie Kiss, and Olaudah Equiano. You can check out displays about these activists at local libraries.
Plus, youth ambassadors from Bradford Council’s youth service will be creating resources to help young people learn about LGBTQ+ history. Councillor Kamran Hussain is excited about the packed schedule, saying it’s a great mix of informative and fun activities. He hopes everyone will join in and make the most of it.
