Basingstoke: A new soft play centre is about to open its doors in Festival Place. Operated by GLL under the Better brand, this place is replacing the old soft play area that closed last October.

This new spot is way bigger and way more fun for kids up to 10 years old. It’s got a woodland theme, complete with ball pools, slides, and crawling areas. Plus, there’s a special zone just for little ones under two.

The centre can host up to 100 kids at once, making it a great place for families to hang out. Paul Shearman, the GLL Partnership Manager, is super excited about the launch. He mentioned that the old play area was pretty small, so parents will be amazed by the new space.

And guess what? There’s also a cafe! It’ll serve hot and cold drinks and snacks, open every day of the week. Two staff members will be there to help out, so parents can chill while keeping an eye on their kids.

Before the opening, Shearman shared some details about the ticketing system. Kids will get one-hour slots every 15 minutes to ensure everyone has a blast. Adults can come in for free as long as there aren’t more adults than kids.

For example, if you bring two kids, two adults can join for free. If you have more adults, there’s a small fee for the extra ones. This is just to keep things safe and fun for the kids.

They’ll also offer birthday party packages, including options for private celebrations. Families can check out the new space this Saturday, and for more info, just visit the Basingstoke Sports Centre website at better.org.uk.
