Zada in Stamford impresses with its vibrant Turkish cuisine and warm atmosphere
Stamford: I finally visited Zada, a Turkish restaurant celebrating its 10th anniversary. It might just be my new favorite spot.
The service, atmosphere, and decor were all fantastic. I can’t believe I waited so long to try it!
Zada serves delicious Turkish dishes. I went on a weeknight, expecting a quiet dinner, but the place was packed. Definitely book ahead!
Located on St Mary’s Street, Zada is a charming spot with beautiful Turkish decor. Traditional clothing and colorful lamps add to the ambiance.
The staff quickly seated us, and we chose from the set menu. We ordered hot and cold starters, a mixed shish, and a kofta iskender.
The starters were beautifully presented and full of flavor. They included dips, homemade bread, and a flaky pastry. We were offered more bread, but we declined.
My kofta iskender was amazing! It had spicy minced lamb in pitta, topped with a homemade sauce. I had to save room for the good stuff!
My husband enjoyed his mixed shish, too. The grilled chicken and lamb were cooked perfectly. He finished the rice and salad but left some chips.
Our two courses cost £29.95 each. We could have had three courses for £34.95, but we were too full for dessert. Others were taking leftovers home!
Overall, our experience at Zada was excellent. The food and service were top-notch. The only downside was the close seating, but it wasn’t a big deal.
