These coins are from 2022, the year King Charles III took the throne after Queen Elizabeth II passed away. His coronation was just last year, on May 6, 2023.
One of the listings describes the £1,800 coin as a must-have for collectors, highlighting its rarity and historical significance. It’s part of the decimal coinage series that started back in 1971.
But here’s the kicker: the listing mistakenly claims that King Charles reigned in the 1400s and 1500s! Talk about a mix-up!
The other coin, priced at £999, is also being marketed as essential for serious collectors. It boasts a stunning design and is made in Great Britain, issued in 2022.
