Exciting final acts revealed for The Reeling 2025, showcasing Scotland’s vibrant folk scene in Glasgow
Glasgow: The Reeling festival is gearing up for an amazing 2025 edition. They’ve just announced the final lineup, and it’s looking fantastic!
Some of the big names include Blazin’ Fiddles, Dougie MacLean, and Eddi Reader. Plus, there’s the Celtic fusion band Shooglenifty and the electronic duo Valtos. It’s a real treat for music lovers!
On Saturday and Sunday, you can catch performances from Ciaran Ryan Band, Dàimh, and many more. It’s going to be a jam-packed weekend with tons of talent on display.
Scottish folk powerhouse Talisk and award-winning RURA are headlining, along with Breabach and the trad pop group Mec Lir. It’s a lineup that really showcases the best of Scottish music.
For the first time, Gaelic singers Sian will perform with their expanded band. Beth Malcolm will also be there, sharing songs from her new album, ‘FOLKMOSIS’. And let’s not forget the lively tunes from fiddler Laura Wilkie!
Emerging artists like Malin Lewis, who plays self-made bagpipes, and the folk fusion group Astro Bloc are also joining the fun. It’s a great mix of established and new talent.
Michael Pellegrotti, the festival’s co-director, believes in highlighting Scotland’s rich traditional music scene. He’s excited about this year’s lineup, saying it reflects the incredible variety of talent out there.
