Dumbarton: First Bus is making some big changes to its routes. They want to improve punctuality and local connections. These changes start on Sunday, March 2.
New routes will help Balloch and Helensburgh. This means more reliable travel options for everyone.
From March 2, the First service 1/A will run more often between Dumbarton and Glasgow. This is great news for commuters!
New local routes 204 and 205 will replace parts of the current service 1/A. This will ensure better connections for passengers.
Service 206 will now extend to Helensburgh, taking over from the old Service 1B. This change will help more people get where they need to go.
If you travel from Glasgow to Balloch or Helensburgh, you’ll need to switch buses in Dumbarton. You’ll take a 204, 205, or 206 to reach your destination.
Service 1E will still run between Balloch and Glasgow. It will now go directly from Clydebank to Yoker via Glasgow Road.
Also, Service M11 will be renamed to Service 11. It will cover the route from Mountblow to Gartnavel Hospital, replacing Service 1D.
Chris Coleman from First Bus said they are working hard to meet customer needs. He believes these changes will make travel easier for everyone in Dumbarton, Balloch, and Helensburgh.
