Glasgow: First Bus is making some big changes to its routes in Dumbarton. They want to improve punctuality and local connections. These changes will start on Sunday, March 2.

New routes will help serve Balloch and Helensburgh better. This means more reliable travel options for everyone. Starting March 2, the First service 1/A will run more often between Dumbarton town center and Glasgow.

They’re also introducing new local routes, 204 and 205, to serve Balloch. These will replace parts of the current service 1/A route. This change aims to provide better connections for passengers.

Service 206 will now extend from Westcliff to Helensburgh, taking over from service 1B. If you travel from Glasgow to Balloch or Helensburgh, you’ll need to switch buses in Dumbarton town center to catch a 204, 205, or 206.

Service 1E will still run between Balloch and Glasgow. It will now go directly from Clydebank to Yoker via Glasgow Road. The M11 service will be renamed to service 11, covering the route from Mountblow to Gartnavel Hospital via Clydebank.

Chris Coleman, head of network for First Bus in Glasgow, mentioned they’re working hard to meet customer needs. He believes these changes will make travel more reliable and convenient for people in Dumbarton, Balloch, and Helensburgh.

The new 204 and 205 routes will improve local connections. First Bus is updating customer information, including bus stops, with the new timetable. They encourage travelers to use the app for the latest updates.
