Exciting events are coming to the FOCUS Wales Film Festival this May, offering filmmakers and audiences a chance to connect and learn
Wrexham: The FOCUS Wales Film Festival is gearing up for an exciting event at Coleg Cambria’s city centre campus on Chester Road from May 9 to May 10.
Robert Corcoran from 73 Degree Films will be hosting the festival, which promises a lineup of film industry events.
There will be networking parties, panels, and Q&As with some top talent, giving filmmakers and audiences a great chance to connect.
Lee Walters, the CEO of Ffilm Cymru, will join a panel discussing ‘The State of Welsh Filmmaking,’ covering upcoming projects and funding opportunities.
He’ll be joined by other industry experts, including Dai Baker and Guto Rhun, to share insights and trends.
Alongside this, the festival will feature a BAFTA-qualifying short film competition, with more details to come soon.
Robert Corcoran expressed his excitement, saying he can’t wait to bring amazing filmmakers and industry leaders to Wrexham.
He believes that 2025 will be the festival’s biggest and best year yet.
Additionally, Rachel Pedley and others will discuss ‘The Future of Filmmaking,’ exploring new technologies and opportunities in the industry.
Filmmakers interested in showcasing their work have until February 14 to submit their films.
