Today, Suffolk will see five abnormal loads on the move, causing some traffic delays. Here’s what you need to know!
The first load is leaving Sizewell B at 10 am, heading to West Thurrock. It weighs a whopping 44,000 kg and will take local roads like Lover’s Lane and the A12. Police will be escorting it along the A12 at Farnham.
Next up, another load from Sizewell B to West Thurrock is scheduled for noon, also weighing 44,000 kg. It’ll follow the same route and have police support on the A12.
At 9 am, there’s a load moving from Aldhurst Farm to Otley. This one is also 44,000 kg and will use local roads, including Lover’s Lane and the A12. Again, police will be on hand to help with traffic.
Then, at 11 am, a 38,000 kg load will travel from Setchey in King’s Lynn to Sizewell C. It’ll take a longer route through various roads, including the A10 and A14, with police escorting it from the A12 at Wickham Market.
Finally, another load from Setchey to Sizewell C is set for 1 pm, also weighing 38,000 kg. It’ll follow a similar path as the previous one, with police assistance.
And just a heads up, there are six more abnormal loads scheduled for the rest of the week, so expect some traffic delays!
