Arun and Zach, former BU students, are expanding their Mexican food venture with a new location in Poole, bringing exciting flavors to the area
Poole: Arun and Zach, two buddies from university, have just opened their third Loco Lime location. They kicked off their Mexican street food business in June 2023, right after graduating.
They spotted a real need for Mexican cuisine in Bournemouth and Poole, so they decided to dive in. Both guys share a huge love for Mexican food and wanted to bring that passion to life.
They met in their first year at uni and hit it off right away. Cooking together became their go-to activity, and they even saved up to start a takeaway service from home.
They began whipping up delicious meals at Zach’s place and used Deliveroo to get their food out there. By summer 2023, they had a pop-up at Bournemouth’s Helch Market, and by January, they were there for good.
Now, they’ve just opened at The Dolphin in Poole, thanks to a tip from their food business network about an available spot. After some back-and-forth, they secured the location.
Both are super excited about the future, especially with more businesses coming to The Dolphin. Zach mentioned how busy it gets on weekends, and Arun agreed, saying it’s a prime spot.
With around 20 staff across their locations, they’ve built a friendly team. They’re also working on adding new items to the menu, like smoothies and coffee.
Looking ahead, they’re eyeing expansion into places like Winchester, Southampton, and Christchurch. They’re even considering catering for events like weddings this summer.
Arun said there are plenty of opportunities out there, and they’re eager to start planning their next moves. Launching new spots and ideas is always a blast for them.
