Exciting news for fans! A former Strictly star will take the stage in Glasgow
Glasgow: So, guess what? A former Strictly Come Dancing star is set to light up the stage at Glasgow’s King’s Theatre! She’ll be playing Roxie Hart in the UK and Ireland tour of Chicago.
The show is coming to town from August 18 to 23, 2025. How cool is that? Mrs. Manrara is super excited about her musical debut. She said it’s a dream come true for her.
She can’t wait to bring Roxie to life, calling her a beautifully complex character. Plus, she’s looking forward to working with an amazing cast and team on this iconic musical.
Speaking of the cast, she’ll be joined by Djalenga Scott as Velma Kelly and Joshua Lloyd as Amos Hart. The roles of Billy Flynn and Mama Morton are still under wraps, though.
Mrs. Manrara is no stranger to the spotlight. She’s known for her time on Strictly, where she reached the finals with HRVY. She’s also co-hosted It Takes Two and has been part of the Strictly Live tour.
Her theatre experience includes the Broadway tour of Burn the Floor and several UK productions with her husband, Aljaž Škorjanec. Plus, she’s an author with her book, ‘Tiny Dancer, Big World’.
Chicago is all about the glitz and glam of the 1920s, telling the story of Roxie, a housewife who gets into a bit of trouble. She’s got to outsmart everyone to avoid conviction, and it’s all about the sensational headlines.
