Forres is calling on locals to donate blood and help save lives at the upcoming session on January 28 at the community center
Forres: A call is going out for blood donations to support Scottish patients. The community is being asked to step up and help keep blood stocks healthy.
On Tuesday, January 28, the Forres House Community Centre will host a donation session. It’s a great chance for locals to make a difference.
Dr. Sylvia Armstrong-Fisher from the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service shared that each donation can save or improve three lives. Isn’t that amazing?
She expressed gratitude to regular donors but emphasized the need for more, especially during busy school run times. If you’re 17 or older and in good health, they’d love to see you there.
Blood only lasts 35 days, so it’s crucial to keep supplies fresh. If you’ve never donated before, don’t worry! The team will give you a warm welcome.
Highland News and Media aims to bring in 5,000 donors before Easter. Dr. Armstrong-Fisher encourages everyone to join the campaign and help save lives.
You can book an appointment at www.scotblood.co.uk or call 0345 90 90 999 during business hours. It’s not too late to make a lifesaving appointment!
