Royal Wootton Bassett: Blue Sky Fostering kicked off the year with a bang by opening a new hub in the Borough Fields shopping centre. It’s a big deal for them!

This launch coincided with their 20th anniversary, which is pretty special. They’ve also just received their sixth Outstanding rating from Ofsted, so they’re on a roll.

The new office, managed by John Franklin, is perfectly placed to help foster carers in Swindon and nearby areas. Plus, it makes it super easy for folks in Bassett to drop by for a chat.

John mentioned they wanted to be closer to their amazing foster carers and really appreciate the community vibe in Royal Wootton Bassett.

With 2025 marking two decades of fostering excellence, Blue Sky Fostering is all set to keep making a positive difference.

At the launch, they treated everyone to luxury hot chocolate, balloons, and free cake from Marshalls Bakery. Local students even performed some tunes, and the Mayor cut the ribbon!

Local schools joined in the fun too, with headteacher Hilary MacMeekin from Noremarsh Junior School receiving a box of cakes for the teachers.

The team at Blue Sky Fostering is super grateful to everyone in Royal Wootton Bassett for making the day unforgettable. They’re excited about the future and all the kindness they can spread in the community.

They’re a close-knit group, dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of looked-after children and young people.

To celebrate their 20th anniversary, they’re planning twenty acts of kindness over the next year. How cool is that?
