Residents of Banbury are fuming over a Tesla’s bright headlights, claiming they are blinding drivers and creating unsafe conditions on the roads
Banbury: Recently, folks in Banbury have been pretty upset about a Tesla’s headlights. They say the lights are so bright they’re blinding everyone on the road.
One local even mentioned that if you’re driving a 74 plate Tesla, you’re basically just dazzling everyone else. It’s become a real topic of conversation around town.
Others chimed in, agreeing that the new lights are just too intense. One woman pointed out that it’s not anyone’s fault, but it’s just how these new lights are designed.
This issue comes right after the AA reported that drivers in the UK are feeling the impact of brighter headlights more than ever. It seems like a lot of people are struggling with the glare.
AA president Edmund King shared that their research shows three-quarters of drivers have been blinded by oncoming headlights. It’s a growing concern for many.
Interestingly, while brighter lights can enhance road safety, they’re also causing a lot of discomfort. The problem seems to be especially bad with higher vehicles like SUVs.
In fact, national collision data revealed that dazzling headlights contributed to 216 incidents last year. That’s a slight increase from the previous year, but still lower than a decade ago.
