Stroud: Giffords Circus is gearing up for its new show, Laguna Bay. The circus will tour the Cotswolds and southern England from April 17 to September 28.
They’ll perform at Blenheim Palace near Woodstock from May 22 to June 2. Then, they’ll be at Stonor Park and Gardens near Henley from July 10 to 14.
Since starting, Giffords Circus has entertained over a million people under its big top tent. They mix traditional circus charm with a fresh twist.
The performances include acrobats, magicians, musicians, clowns, and more. Their shows have even caught the eye of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.
In 2022, they performed at the Royal Albert Hall for the Royal Variety Performance. They were also featured in a BBC adaptation of Enid Blyton’s Famous Five in 2024.
Cal McCrystal, an award-winning director, has led Giffords Circus since 2012. He has a rich background in theatre, opera, and film.
For their 25th anniversary, Cal promises a mix of new and familiar faces to delight audiences. Laguna Bay is set in the vibrant 1950s America.
He describes the show as a blend of fun, excitement, and charm. Attending Giffords Circus is like stepping into another world for a few hours.
Laguna Bay will kick off on April 17 at Fennells Farm, the circus’s home. After that, it will visit various locations, including Bowood House and Gardens and Sudeley Castle.
The tour wraps up back at Fennells Farm from September 18 to 28. The circus’s restaurant, Circus Sauce, will return, offering a three-course meal after select shows.
They’ll also have food wagons serving burgers, hot dogs, and fries. Plus, a fully licensed bar will be available for drinks during the shows and dinner service.
