Glasgow Kelvin College started this initiative to attract more women to construction, especially since the demand for female workers is on the rise. The industry is finally recognizing how important diversity is.

It covers four main trades: joinery, roofing, painting and décor, and brickwork. The only requirement is a genuine interest in construction.
Tracy, who has nearly 30 years of experience as a joiner, emphasized that construction has been male-dominated, making it seem less accessible to women. But she believes the industry is changing for the better.
She mentioned that there are plenty of career opportunities and that many companies are now creating supportive environments for women, complete with mentoring and safe workplaces.
