London: A new study has just dropped, and it turns out c2c is the star of the show when it comes to train reliability in Great Britain. They scored a whopping 99.5 out of 100! That’s pretty impressive, right?

So, how did they figure this out? Well, GetByBus took a deep dive into data from the Office of Rail and Road, looking at 24 rail operators over the last five years. They checked things like how many trains were on time and how many got canceled.

c2c is serving folks in East London and South Essex, and they’ve got the fewest delays per 1,000 kilometers. Even though some other companies like the Elizabeth line and Greater Anglia have trains arriving on time more often, c2c still holds the top spot thanks to their overall performance.

Merseyrail came in second with a score of 95.13. They’re known for being super punctual, especially in the Northwest. Then there’s the Elizabeth line, which is also doing great, but they had a few more cancellations than the top two.

Greater Anglia and Chiltern Railways round out the top five. They’re not the best in every category, but they consistently perform well across the board. It’s nice to see some reliable options out there!

On the flip side, Avanti West Coast is at the bottom of the list. Only 47.77% of their services are on time, which is pretty rough. Hull Trains and Northern Trains aren’t doing much better either.

Ante Dagelić, the CEO of GetByBus, pointed out that train reliability really matters for commuters. Delays can mess up your day, especially if you’re trying to get to work or school. He also mentioned that a lot of cancellations are due to operator faults, which is something that needs to be addressed.

Overall, this study highlights the importance of investing in rail infrastructure to make sure we have a reliable network for everyone. Here’s hoping for smoother rides ahead!
