A former police constable in Hampshire faced disciplinary action for misconduct after failing to secure consent during a sexual encounter
Hampshire: Aiden Bloomfield, a former police constable, recently faced a disciplinary panel after resigning from the force in early 2025.
The panel found that he pressured a woman, referred to as Miss A, into continuing sexual acts. While some parts were consensual, they ruled he acted without consent in other ways.
A spokesperson for the police said they sent a file on Bloomfield to the Crown Prosecution Service, which decided not to pursue further action.
Bloomfield denied any wrongdoing, but the panel stated he would have been dismissed if he hadn’t already left the force. His name will be added to a list of barred officers for at least five years.
Miss A met Bloomfield on Tinder, and they both shared an interest in BDSM. She had told him she wasn’t interested in sex when they met at his home in Leigh Park on December 8, 2022.
Despite her wishes, he began performing sexual acts on her. When she asked him to stop, he dismissed her request and became aggressive, pulling her hair and choking her.
Afterward, she felt used and was upset when she shared her experience with friends. Assistant Chief Constable Rob France acknowledged how traumatic this situation has been for her.
