Haverhill: A new bus stop and pathway are finally done after four years. This project is near Unity Healthcare on Greenfields Way.

It started back in 2020, thanks to former councillor Paula Fox. Now, Cllr Joe Mason has worked hard to see it through.

He faced many challenges, like legal issues and funding gaps. But he was determined to finish this project for the community.

The new path connects Norton Road to the surgery. It has a ramp for easier access, especially for those with mobility issues.

Cllr Mason called this project one of his toughest. He thanked Suffolk County Council leader Cllr Matthew Hicks for the support.

He said it took a lot of teamwork to make this happen. It feels great to see the project benefit the community.

Cllr Mason emphasized the importance of listening to residents. He believes completing this project builds trust with the community.

Residents have also asked for dropped kerbs along Greenfields Way. Cllr David Roach is now funding this improvement at the bus stop.
