Hexham: The John Robson and Hexham Historic Rally is happening soon. It will start at Hexham Auction Mart. Cars will be checked before they hit the road. They’ll travel a 150-mile route overnight through Cumbria and Northumberland.

This rally has been around for over 70 years. It draws teams from all over the country. Drivers and navigators work together as a team, which makes it exciting. Navigators get their instructions on the go, so they never know where they’re headed next.

The teams will stop for fuel at Low Row Service Station around 11:30 PM on Saturday, February 8. They’ll then continue back to the Auction Mart. The first car is expected to finish around 2:30 AM on Sunday, February 9.

Residents along the route have been informed about the rally. The club appreciates their cooperation. Tynedale Hospice at Home is the charity for this event. It has raised hundreds of pounds for them in the past.

Jonathon Webb, the club chairman, shared his excitement. He noted that 12 out of 60 crews are beginners, showing the sport’s growth. Cars will arrive for checks at the Auction Mart around 4:30 PM. Everyone is welcome to come, look around, and chat about the event.
