Highland Police conducted stop-and-search operations, recovering firearms, knives, and drugs in Inverness over six months.
They conducted nearly 250 searches in the area. More than half of these searches were successful. They recorded 46 incidents of Class A drug possession and 63 of Class B.
Police also found six knives and one blunt instrument. The firearm was recovered during a warrant execution. They detected stolen property and cash in several cases.
The youngest person caught with Class A drugs was just 17. Some youths as young as 14 and 15 had Class B drugs.
Across the Highland Council area, there were 518 stop-and-searches in total. Almost 230 of these were positive.
In nearby Nairn and Cawdor, there were 10 searches, with two being positive. In Caithness, police conducted 81 stops, with 32 being successful.
Sutherland had 11 stops, with six positive for Class B drugs. Ross & Cromarty had 115 stops, with 34 positive results.
Badenoch and Strathspey saw 19 stops, with six positive. One found Class A drugs, while others found Class B and stolen property.
