Holly Willoughby shares how Bear Grylls inspired her to face fears while filming Celebrity Bear Hunt in the Costa Rican jungle
London: Holly Willoughby recently opened up about her experience filming Celebrity Bear Hunt with Bear Grylls in the jungles of Costa Rica. She mentioned how being on the show pushed her to confront her fears.
Willoughby said there were moments when she had to really dig deep. Having Bear by her side made a huge difference. He taught her that being brave means using your fear to fuel your actions.
She felt inspired just spending time with him, noting that he truly lives for this kind of adventure. It’s contagious! Plus, she loves that the show has something for everyone in her family.
Her kids are huge fans of Grylls, and she thinks they’ll all enjoy the mix of action and heart in the show. It’s tough to find something everyone can watch together, but this seems perfect.
Interestingly, Holly and Bear are quite different. She joked about her fear of bugs, especially after co-hosting I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2018. But that’s part of the fun, right?
She wanted to join Celebrity Bear Hunt because it was the ultimate adventure. Holly believes in challenging yourself as you grow older, and she’s excited to see what she’s made of.
With strong competitors like Melanie Brown and Lottie Moss, she knows it won’t be easy. But that’s what makes it thrilling! The pressure can be intense, and it’s a whole different ball game when you’re being hunted.
Bear praised Holly, saying she brings warmth and familiarity to the contestants. It’s nice to have someone like her around during such a challenging experience.
Celebrity Bear Hunt features 12 contestants, including some well-known faces. They’ll face various challenges, and one will emerge as the winner. The show premieres on Netflix on February 5, so mark your calendars!
