A noodle café in Warrington can continue operating after receiving retrospective permission from the council, ensuring its future in the community.
Warrington: So, there’s this cool noodle café that just got the green light to keep serving up delicious dishes. It’s called Reunion Kart Noodles, and it’s located on Priory Street in Wilderspool.
The café opened earlier this year, but it ran into a bit of trouble because it didn’t have the right planning permission when it switched from a hot food takeaway. The council sent someone to check it out, and they said, “Hey, you need to apply for retrospective permission.”
Luckily, after the café submitted the application, the council approved it. They found that the café has four full-time staff and is open from 8 am to 6 pm on weekdays, with shorter hours on weekends.
The planning documents mentioned that the café is in a two-story building, which used to be a takeaway. The change to a café is seen as a positive move for the area, bringing life back to a previously empty spot.
It’s great for the community, too! The café is expected to be a nice meeting place for locals and workers, and it helps boost the daytime economy. Plus, it creates some much-needed jobs.
Of course, not everyone is thrilled. A few residents raised concerns about parking and traffic, but overall, it seems like a win for the neighborhood.
