I Tried the 30p TikTok Lemon Water Hack to Clean My Oven

London: Cleaning my oven felt like a big task. I usually put it off. But I found a TikTok hack that looked easy. It involved just a lemon and some water.

I bought a lemon for 30p at Morrisons. The hack was simple to set up. TikTok user @jessicamay_home shared it, and I was excited to try it.

Here’s what you need: one sliced lemon, one and a half cups of cold water, and an oven-proof dish.

To clean, slice the lemon and put it in the dish. Add the cold water and place it in the oven for 20 minutes at 220C.

After 20 minutes, take it out and let it cool a bit. Remove the lemon slices.

Dampen a cloth with the warm lemon water. Wipe the oven’s bottom, walls, racks, and door. The lemon water should help remove grime.

I thought this hack would work wonders. It was easy, but it didn’t tackle tough stains well.

My oven needed a deeper clean, and this hack wasn’t strong enough for that.

The lemon water did remove some dirt, but I’d still need a stronger cleaner for stubborn stains.

I’d use this hack for a quick refresh, not a deep clean. I’m excited to try more household hacks to make chores easier.
