Darlington: The building where Iceland is located is up for sale. The landlord has listed the property on Yarm Road. It could be sold soon.

The property is part of an online auction on February 6. The asking price is around £1.4 million. It’s described as a long leasehold investment opportunity.

Iceland confirmed that the sale won’t affect their store. Their 8,619 sq ft store has a lease until at least 2030. So, they will keep operating as usual.

A spokesperson said the landlord is selling the freehold. However, Iceland will remain open and continue trading normally.

The frozen food brand has been in Eastbourne for 20 years. They also have another location off North Road in Darlington.

The store is located between The Broadway and Teal Road junctions. It has a large car park that it shares with Aldi next door.

You can find more details about the listing online.
