Join the Ilfracombe Talent Fest this February to support mental health awareness and enjoy a night of local talent and entertainment
Ilfracombe: A North Devon charity is putting together a talent show this February to shine a light on mental health for young folks. Spark UK, a group started by local youth, is hosting the first-ever Ilfracombe Talent Fest on February 21.
This event, backed by Philip J Milton & Company Plc, is all about getting people talking about mental health while showcasing local talent. It’ll kick off at 6 PM at the North Devon Resort on Marlborough Road and run until midnight.
There will be 12 acts performing, and the audience gets to vote for their favorites. The top three will be decided by the crowd’s votes. Plus, there’ll be food available, and tickets are just £5 each, which you can grab in advance or at the door.
This talent competition is a big step for Spark UK as they work towards becoming a registered charity. Founded during the pandemic by Conor Warren and his friends, the group has quickly made a name for itself, reaching over 300 schools nationwide.
Conor, now the CEO, shared, “We’re doing everything we can to raise awareness and get people talking about mental health. The Talent Fest is a great chance for Ilfracombe’s hidden stars to shine and for us to highlight the important work we do.”
Young people really appreciate the resources Spark UK offers, finding them relatable and relevant. Teachers also find them helpful for guiding students through mental health challenges.
Philip Milton, the Managing Director, added, “We’ve supported Spark UK before, and their work is crucial for helping young people during tough times. We hope everyone comes out to enjoy the Talent Fest and cheer on their favorite acts.”
So, mark your calendars for February 21, and get ready for a fun night while supporting a great cause!
