Get ready for an inspiring evening as a top pianist guides young talents in St Albans this February
St Albans: The annual Lady Rosalind Runcie Memorial Fund Masterclass and Recital is set for February 5 at St Albans High School for Girls. It’s a great chance for young pianists to shine.
This event has been a staple for students from STAHS and St Albans School since 2013. It’s all about helping them reach their piano-playing dreams.
Rosalind Runcie, a beloved piano teacher at both schools, inspired this event. This year, the talented Pavel Timofeyevsky will lead the masterclass.
The session kicks off at 5 PM, and there’s a recital at 7:30 PM. Selected top piano students from both schools will get to participate.
Tickets are £10 for adults and £5 for those under 18, covering the masterclass, concert, and some tasty refreshments. Plus, staff and students from SAS and STAHS can join for free!
Before the event, enjoy tea, coffee, and cake starting at 4:30 PM, with a light supper served between the masterclass and recital.
Pavel Timofeyevsky is no stranger to the spotlight. He’s won the BBC/Guardian Young Composer of the Year Award and has played at major venues worldwide.
He’s also the music director for Devon Opera and artistic director for Notable. If you want to grab tickets, check out https://www.trybooking.com/uk/EHLA.
