Inverness: The Kingsmill Hotel recently hosted a fantastic Burns supper that turned out to be a real success. It was all about celebrating Robert Burns while raising funds for Mikeysline, a charity that does amazing work for mental health in the Highlands.

The event was packed, and the atmosphere was just electric! Emily Stokes, the charity’s chief executive, mentioned they’ve raised about £25,000 so far, and they’re still counting. This year marks a special milestone as Mikeysline celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Guests were treated to a delicious haggis dinner, and there was plenty of entertainment. The night featured performances from local talents, including the Mikeysline Bee The Change choir and some lively dancers. Everyone seemed to have a blast, especially on the dance floor!

Kenny Smith, the host, and other speakers shared heartfelt messages, and there was even a charity auction to boost the funds. The Kingsmill Hotel has been a great partner for Mikeysline, helping raise a whopping £195,000 since 2022.

Tony Story, the hotel owner, praised the charity’s efforts in tackling mental health issues in the area. It’s clear that events like this not only bring people together but also make a real difference in the community. What a wonderful way to honor Burns and support such an important cause!
