Wrexham’s James McClean didn’t hold back after a tough match, calling Shrewsbury a cesspit full of inbreds following fan abuse
Wrexham: So, James McClean, the Derry-born footballer, is in a bit of hot water again. After a match against Shrewsbury, he went off on social media, calling the town a “cesspit full of inbreds.”
It all kicked off after Wrexham lost 2-1, and McClean faced some serious abuse from the Shrewsbury fans. Reports say they were throwing stuff at him, which is just not cool.
Things got heated on the pitch too, especially after a rough tackle from Shrewsbury’s Toto Nsiala. That led to some angry exchanges and more taunting from the fans.
McClean tried to confront the fans after the game, but Wrexham’s manager, Phil Parkinson, said he’s used to this kind of treatment. It’s tough, but he’s been dealing with it for a while now.
Later, McClean took to Instagram to express his frustration. He really let loose about how he feels about Shrewsbury, and it’s clear he’s not holding back.
