Lancashire Police are investigating reports of spice-laced vapes in Pendle after three children were hospitalized last week
Pendle: There’s been some serious chatter on social media about drug dealing in Pendle. Apparently, it’s linked to three kids ending up in the hospital last week.
So, Lancashire Police are on it. They’re taking these claims seriously and are digging into what’s going on.
A police spokesperson mentioned they’re aware of the social media buzz and want to reassure everyone that they’re looking into it.
Since the post went viral, there’s been some trouble reported at a place in Colne, and the person involved has been getting some nasty messages.
The police are also checking into those reports of malicious communication and the damage at the property. They’re clear: this kind of behavior won’t fly with them.
Back in October, the government raised concerns about kids buying spice-laced vapes online. They’re trying to stop young people from getting their hands on these dangerous e-liquids.
Wera Hobhouse MP even led a debate in the House of Commons about this issue. A professor from the University of Bath tested a bunch of vapes and found that a good chunk of them contained spice, which is pretty alarming.
Labour is looking to bring back the Tobacco and Vapes Bill after the last government made some moves to limit how vapes are sold and marketed. It’s a hot topic for sure!
