A large cannabis farm was found in Radcliffe after police used a drone to investigate suspicious activity, uncovering hundreds of plants.
The police used a drone for a better view. This helped them spot something suspicious. They discovered 658 cannabis plants and six bags ready for distribution.
Inspector Gareth Edwards from the Bury Neighbourhood Team said luck played a part. He noted that teamwork with local agencies helped prevent further issues. They aim to close the mill until it’s safe.
The police are still investigating to find those responsible. They are also concerned about the environmental impact of the operation. Edwards emphasized the ongoing fight against drug supply in the community.
He mentioned that drug operations can lead to serious crimes, including modern slavery. Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident 462 of January 31, 2025. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111.
