Christchurch: This week, BCP Council received several planning applications. One is for a single-storey rear extension at 54 Edward Road in Burton. Another involves demolishing a house and outbuildings to build a new home and office at 11B Dudmoor Farm Road.

There’s also an application to add PV panels to a house at 102 Hurn Road. Plus, a loft conversion is planned at 58 Canberra Road. Excitingly, there’s a proposal to install antennas on a telecom mast for community radio broadcasting on St Catherines Hill Lane.

In Highcliffe, a site on Jesmond Avenue is set for nine new residential properties. Mudeford is seeing a rear and side extension at 18 Wellington Avenue, along with a few other extensions and modifications at various addresses.

Now, let’s talk about the decisions made. Several applications were granted, including a lean-to at 18 Stanpit and a roof extension at 3 Darwin Avenue. Highcliffe also saw approvals for a carport and a flat roof extension at 54 Walkford Road and 114 Hinton Wood Avenue, respectively.

There was a lawful application for a garden room at 1 Whitehall, and one application was withdrawn for a two-storey side extension at 4 Dunedin Grove. It’s a busy time for planning in Christchurch!
