Taunton: So, there was this guy, Gary Bailey, who got himself into a bit of trouble. He ended up with a six-week prison sentence for stealing some stuff and riding an e-scooter when he wasn’t allowed to drive.

He swiped eight boxes of Maltesers, a bunch of bags, some washing liquid, and a few cans of gin mixers from Tesco Express. All that added up to about £109. Not a great choice, right?

On top of that, he was caught zooming around on Stiby Road in Yeovil on his e-scooter, even though he was disqualified from driving. The court didn’t make him pay any fines or costs since he didn’t have the cash to cover it.

Then there’s Alan Raad from Newlyn, who got three points on his license for speeding. He was caught going over 30mph on the A303 when there was a temporary speed limit. He ended up with a £40 fine and some extra costs.

And Nathan Greenhalgh from London? He was doing 80mph on the A303 but managed to dodge a driving ban. The court thought it would be too harsh on him, so he just got a fine and three points on his record.
