A Cambuslang man faces serious charges after allegedly assaulting his ex and setting fire to her flat, causing chaos in the neighborhood.
Cambuslang: So, there’s this guy, Mark Gray, 34, who’s in a bit of hot water. He’s accused of attacking his ex at her home back in January 2025.
According to court documents, he allegedly hit her with a mop and then went all out with a hammer. Ouch! That’s pretty brutal.
It gets worse. The charges say he grabbed her and kept punching her, leaving her seriously hurt. And it doesn’t stop there; he’s also accused of attacking a 16-year-old girl at the same place.
He reportedly pulled her hair and punched her too. Can you believe that? Plus, he’s said to have pressed his thumbs into her eyes. That’s just awful.
There’s more. He allegedly acted all threatening while holding a hammer, chasing the girl and making scary gestures. He even shouted threats and tried to grab a dog.
And if that’s not enough, he’s accused of throwing cans of alcohol at police officers when they showed up. Seriously, what was he thinking?
He even threw scissors at one officer and was allegedly racially abusive towards another. It’s just a mess.
To top it all off, he’s charged with setting fire to the flat, causing a ton of damage and forcing everyone in the building to evacuate. That’s just insane!
Gray didn’t enter a plea during his private hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court, where his lawyer, Leon Kondol, represented him. He’s now in custody and will be back in court soon.
