Residents are frustrated as mattresses and other items clutter Priory Avenue, raising concerns about cleanliness and community pride
High Wycombe: Recently, mattresses were spotted along Priory Avenue, and they’ve been there for a while. It’s been a week since they were first seen, and they’re still hanging around.
This isn’t the first time people have dumped stuff on this street. It’s pretty close to the town center, and locals have complained to Buckinghamshire Council about it before.
In fact, just in the last few weeks, there have been reports of sofas, drawers, and cupboards left on the sidewalks. A resident living on Priory Avenue shared their frustration, saying it’s not a good look for the area.
They mentioned how they like to keep things tidy and it annoys them to see such mess. It gives the wrong impression about the neighborhood, especially when they know they keep their place clean.
They added that it’s just plain lazy to dump things like that when it’s easy to take them to a local skip. It’s a real pet peeve for them.
We’ve reached out to Buckinghamshire Council for their take on this situation. If you see any fly-tipping in your area, don’t hesitate to report it on the Fix My Street page.
