His proud mum, Heather Gould, 23, is excited to be the first mum to give birth this year. She felt really special during her time at the hospital.
Heather said the team was amazing. From the moment she arrived, everything was ready for her. It felt relaxed, with no pressure to leave.
She had a great experience. Heather went to the unit around 1 PM, and Angus said ‘hello’ to the world less than four hours later.
Midwife Karen Temporal supported Heather throughout her pregnancy. Midwife Liz Merron helped with Angus’s water birth.
Heather and her partner Rob left the hospital with their new baby boy at 1 AM on Friday. This was just hours before Storm Eowyn hit.
Heather mentioned there was no rush to get home, but they wanted to return before the storm. They completed the day two checks early on Friday.
Angus’s big brother, Murray Andrew Baxter, will turn two next month. He was born at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.
Heather’s sister Caroline is helping at home to keep things normal for Murray.
Heather believes the boys will be best friends as they grow up. She said Murray is adjusting well but is used to all the attention.
He’s thrilled to have a little brother. Angus has settled in nicely and loves his big brother.
