A public meeting is scheduled to discuss plans for a new housing project in Llandrindod, aiming to gather community feedback and insights.
Llandrindod: Hughes Architects are gearing up to build 122 new homes between Tremont Park and Trefonnen estates. Sounds exciting, right?
County councillor Jake Berriman is on it! He’s set up a public meeting for Thursday, January 30, at 6pm in the main hall at Ysgol Trefonnen. It’s a great chance for everyone to chime in.
Jake mentioned, “We want to showcase and explain the development while listening to your feedback.” It’s all about making sure the community feels heard.
Earlier this month, the Newtown-based firm shared their plans, which are still in the pre-planning stage. So, there’s room for changes based on what people think.
According to Hughes Architects, the site aims to deliver up to 122 new homes while keeping things visually appealing and sustainable. They’re really focused on blending in with the natural surroundings.
They’re planning a mix of 2, 3, and 4-bedroom homes, both semi-detached and detached. The designs will nod to Llandrindod Wells’ historic style but with a modern twist.
Plus, they want to keep the green vibe alive with open spaces and plenty of plants. It’s all about creating a nice environment for everyone.
One of their big goals is to promote sustainable travel. They’re including a top-notch active travel route to encourage walking and cycling, which is a win for health and the planet.
In short, they want residents to connect easily with the town while enjoying a greener lifestyle. Sounds like a plan!
