A birthday party argument escalated into a deadly brawl in Melbourne, resulting in two fatalities and a police investigation.
Melbourne: So, there was this wild brawl at a birthday party that turned tragic. Two guys, aged 23 and 54, ended up dead after things got out of hand.
It all kicked off at a home in Clyde North, where about 20 people were involved. Apparently, some folks took off before the cops showed up, which isn’t great.
Emergency services rushed in around 9:30 PM, but sadly, they found the two men with stab wounds. Despite their efforts, they couldn’t save them.
Supt Janet Stevenson mentioned that it was supposed to be a fun celebration, but an argument escalated into a full-blown fight that spilled onto the street.
She said, “It was a private birthday party that should have been a celebration, and unfortunately it’s had this tragic result.”
Now, the police are on the lookout for anyone who might have left the scene before they arrived. They really want to piece together what went down.
Stevenson urged anyone with info to reach out to Crime Stoppers. It’s crucial for the grieving family to get some answers.
They’re still figuring out if there was one attacker or multiple people involved, and whether just one weapon was used.
The crime scene stretched out to a nearby car park, and forensic teams were busy gathering evidence. Neighbors were told to stay inside while the investigation continued.
People in the area were shocked by the chaos, especially since it’s usually a quiet neighborhood. One neighbor said it was pretty scary to hear all the sirens.
