A 32 year old mother drowned at Lowestofts seafront after falling into rocks. Emergency services responded but could not save her.

A woman drowned at Lowestoft’s seafront. She became trapped in some rocks there. Saffron Cole-Nottage, age 32, tripped and fell between large beach boulders.

The accident happened Sunday night. Rescuers tried to free the mother, but she died while they were trying. Saffron was from Kent and drowned near the Royal Green area.

People left tributes to Saffron, including one saying, “My beautiful mummy, I love you.” Flowers were also left with a tribute that said, “You will forever be missed.”

Emergency services rushed to help on The Esplanade around 8 PM. Someone reported a person who fell in the sea, prompting the response from police, coastguard, and ambulances.

Police got the call around 8:03 PM, having been contacted by the ambulance service. A woman in her 30s sadly died there, and police say the death is unexplained right now. They do not suspect any crime.

The police are preparing a file to go to the coroner. People shared tributes online, expressing love for Saffron and calling her a beautiful, amazing lady who will be missed.
