Leeds: Major roadworks are starting on February 17, 2025. They will happen on Ring Road Beeston Park. The work will stretch from the Tommy Wass junction on Dewsbury Road to Town Street in Middleton.

The road is in bad shape with many potholes. Resurfacing will take about ten weeks. The first two phases will run from Town Street to Bodmin Road, and then from Bodmin Road to Parkwood Road.

Work hours are 9:30 AM to 3 PM on weekdays and 8 AM to 3 PM on weekends. The third phase at Parkwood Road will happen from 6 PM to 11:30 PM on weekdays.

Temporary traffic lights will help manage the flow. The junctions at Ring Road Beeston Park with Town Street and Bodmin Approach will close during work hours from February 17 to March 2.

After resurfacing, there will be follow-up work for white lining and traffic signal loop replacement. A spokesperson from Leeds City Council said they planned the work to minimize disruption for drivers and local residents.

They aim to do most work during off-peak hours and on weekends. Some evening work will occur near busy junctions. They will stop noisy activities by 11 PM to respect nearby homes.

Cllr Andrew Scopes mentioned that this resurfacing is necessary. He acknowledged the disruption but hopes it will lead to smoother journeys once completed.
