A murder investigation is underway in Newtownards after a man was found dead, prompting three arrests in connection with the incident.
Newtownards: Detectives in Northern Ireland are diving into a murder case after a man was found dead. It’s a pretty shocking situation, especially around this time of year.
The man, who was in his 50s, was discovered unconscious at a home on West Street early Thursday morning. Sadly, he didn’t make it and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Three people have been arrested in connection with this tragic event. Two women, aged 58 and 33, were taken into custody right at the scene, while a 36-year-old man was arrested nearby later that day.
Police are treating this very seriously, and they’re looking into all the details surrounding what happened. Detective Chief Inspector Anthony Kelly mentioned that they got a call about the man being unconscious just before 1:50 AM.
He expressed how shocking it is for something like this to occur, especially during the festive season. The community is understandably shaken, and their thoughts are with the man’s family and friends.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to step forward and help with the investigation. They want to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible.
