A Berkshire woman, known as Miss H, has struck it rich, winning £10,000 a month for a year in the National Lottery’s Set For Life draw
She picked some personal numbers that mean a lot to her when she played online. Now, she’s planning to treat her family to a nice holiday with her winnings.
Miss H is one of over nine million players who win something every week on the National Lottery. Andy Carter, a senior winners’ advisor, was super excited for her. He said it’s incredible news, especially right before Christmas.
He hopes she enjoys her family getaway and sent huge congratulations her way. The National Lottery makes it easy to check tickets online, so players get an email if they win.
Set For Life is a fun game where you pick five numbers from 1 to 47 and one ‘Life Ball’ from 1 to 10. The top prize is a massive £10,000 a month for 30 years, but the second prize is still pretty sweet at £10,000 a month for a year.
It only costs £1.50 to play, and draws happen every Monday and Thursday. Plus, every week, players help raise around £30 million for projects funded by the National Lottery.
With over 700,000 grants given out, this money supports arts, sports, community groups, and even helps preserve landmarks across the UK.
