A lively ceilidh in Nairn brought the community together, raising over £1300 for the local arts centre. What a fantastic night!
Nairn: Last weekend, the dance floor was packed for a charity ceilidh in Nairn. It was a night filled with music and fun, all for a great cause.
The Nairn Trad Sessions organized the event, and they really knocked it out of the park. They raised over £1300 for the Nairn Community and Arts Centre, which is just amazing.
On stage, the Nairn Sessions Band played alongside talented singers George Livingstone and Tony Perridge. Scottish country dancers from Moray and Nairn, led by Kate McArdle, added to the festive atmosphere.
George Livingstone even presented a cheque to Rhona MacDonald, the centre manager, and shared a generous donation of £500 from the Ardersier Club. He emphasized how important it is for arts organizations to support each other, especially now.
Dave Godden, who runs Nairn Trad Sessions, expressed his gratitude to everyone involved. He thanked the musicians, performers, and the audience for their support. The community really showed up to keep the arts alive in Nairnshire.
The arts centre is a self-funding charity that plays a vital role in the community. More events are planned throughout the year, and folks are encouraged to support the centre in any way they can.
