Croxley Green is buzzing with excitement as Netflix and an advert crew film nearby, but parking woes have residents feeling frustrated
Croxley Green: It’s been quite the week here! Two production crews have set up shop, just a short walk apart. One’s working on a Netflix show, while the other is filming an advert.
But, oh boy, the parking situation has turned into a bit of a headache. Frankland Road had its parking bays closed for a couple of days, which meant residents had to scramble to find spots elsewhere.
And it didn’t help that nearby businesses on Watford Road were also feeling the pinch. One local shop, The Kitchen Croxley, only found out about the filming when it was already causing chaos.
While some folks are thrilled to see their town on screen again, others are less than happy. One resident vented online, saying he “couldn’t give a monkeys” about the filming when he couldn’t park near his own home.
Green Party councillor Chris Mitchell mentioned that they only got a couple of days’ notice about the filming. He’s been working with the council to address residents’ concerns, emphasizing the need for better communication from film crews.
On the bright side, the council is on it, making sure to consider parking issues when filming requests come in. They want to keep the filming fun without making life harder for locals.
So, if you’ve been affected by this filming or have a story to share, don’t hesitate to reach out!
