Windsor: So, there are some new dog walking rules coming to Windsor Great Park. Starting February 25, dog walkers can only take four dogs at a time. Plus, they can’t mingle with other visitors if it means having more than eight dogs in one spot.

And get this, dogs need to be in sight all the time. If you run a dog walking business, you’ll need a Professional Dog Walking Permit starting March 31. This is all about keeping things safe and enjoyable for everyone.

These changes are part of a bigger plan to protect the environment. Did you know that about 85% of the Windsor Estate is under special environmental protections? That includes areas for wild birds and other wildlife.

With millions of visitors each year, these rules are meant to make sure everyone, including our furry friends, has a good time. They also help protect the unique plants and animals that call this place home.

The new permit system will make sure dog walking businesses follow health and safety standards. It’s all about keeping both the staff and the dogs safe and sound.

Paul Sedgwick, the Deputy Ranger, mentioned that they love having well-behaved dogs around. He said these new rules are designed to help everyone enjoy the park safely.

Scott Fryer from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home also chimed in, saying they support the new code of conduct. It’s all about keeping dogs under control and respecting the park’s rules.

By sticking to these guidelines, we can all help keep Windsor Great Park a beautiful and peaceful place for everyone.
