A fresh planning application has been filed for two new homes in Halton, replacing a previous proposal for a single large house
Halton: SCGK Developments is looking to build two new homes near the busy junction of Wilmere Lane and Lunts Heath Road. They’ve just submitted their application to the local council.
Last year, they got the green light for a big five-bedroom house, but now they’re switching things up to create two semi-detached homes instead.
These new houses will be three stories tall, with four bedrooms each and a garage that fits two cars. Plus, they’ll come with electric vehicle charging points, which is pretty cool.
The site has been empty for about 20 years, and the only remnants of the previous building are the old drop kerb and access points. The area is pretty busy, with Lunts Heath Road leading to Cronton Lane and Wilmere Road.
According to the design statement, the new homes will fit nicely into the neighborhood, filling in a gap and enhancing the street’s look. They plan to use modern materials like stained timber cladding and a zinc roof to keep everything looking sharp.
They’ve also thought about the roof design, mixing flat and mansard styles to make sure there’s enough headroom inside. But they’re keeping the central roof section lower than the gable ends on either side.
As of now, there’s no word on when a decision will be made about the application.
