Warrington: So, there’s this new place called Kestrel Home that just opened up. It’s a cool initiative by Alcedo Care Group, who put in about £500,000 to get it going.

This home is all about helping young folks up to 18 who are going through tough times. It’s their second home after they did well with Osprey Home last year in Morecambe.

They’re planning to open even more homes soon, which is great news. Kestrel Home is staffed with trained pros who really care. They want to create a family-like atmosphere for kids who need extra support.

The idea is to help those who might be facing challenges at home or have some behavioral issues. They’ll work closely with local services to make sure each kid gets the care they need, both physically and mentally.

The home is small, which is nice because it means more attention for each young person. They can take in two kids at a time, and they can stay anywhere from a month to a few years, depending on what they need.

Andy Boardman, the managing director, mentioned they’re aiming to open four of these homes every year in the North of England and North Wales. It’s all about providing a warm, supportive environment to help these kids thrive.

Alcedo Care Group has big plans, hoping to run 30 branches by the end of 2025. They’re really focused on expanding their services, especially for young people in crisis. It’s a positive step forward for the community!
